Stephen Rachels Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Stephen Rachels (Cranston, Rhode Island), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 23, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Donna Rachels (Crosby); his parents, James D. Rachels and Bergernetta Rachels (Burgess); his children, Tara (Tim), James (Emily) and Steven; his grandchildren, Angelo Rachels, Oliver Logan, Lincoln and Rose Rachels; his sisters, Madeline (Burns), Carol (Silverman) and Jeana (Marsella); and his pet Jax.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Stephen's memory to the Block Island Volunteer Fire Department.
