We bid farewell to Arthur Hamel of Cumberland, Rhode Island, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on June 1, 2025 at the age of 79. Arthur touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Maurice Hamel and Marie Hamel (Prince); and his siblings, Pauline Lambert, Lucille Mann, Claire Veilleux and Paul Hamel.
He is survived by: his wife Herleen Hamel; his children, David Hamel of Cumberland, Dawn Maguire (Hamel) of Smithfield and Mark Hamel of North Attleboro; his children-in-law, Robert Maguire and Jenn Gaw; his grandchildren, Reilly Maguire, Jack Maguire, Jayne Gaw, Wade Hamel and Andora Hamel; and his brothers, Raymond Hamel of Blackstone and Joseph Hamel of Ohio. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 9th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Bellows Funeral Chapel (160 River Rd, Lincoln, RI 02865). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 10th 2025 at 9:00 AM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, June 10th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Saint Aidan Church (1460 Diamond Hill Rd, Cumberland, RI 02864). A burial will be held on Tuesday, June 10th 2025 at the Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery (301 S County Trail, Exeter, RI 02822).
