He was predeceased by: his parents, Maurice Hamel and Marie Hamel (Prince); and his siblings, Pauline Lambert, Lucille Mann, Claire Veilleux and Paul Hamel.
He is survived by: his wife Herleen Hamel; his children, David Hamel of Cumberland, Dawn Maguire (Hamel) of Smithfield and Mark Hamel of North Attleboro; his children-in-law, Robert Maguire and Jenn Gaw; his grandchildren, Reilly Maguire, Jack Maguire, Jayne Gaw, Wade Hamel and Andora Hamel; and his brothers, Raymond Hamel of Blackstone and Joseph Hamel of Ohio. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
