He was predeceased by: his father William H. Durkin; and his brothers, Brian Durkin and Neil L. Durkin. He is survived by: his wife Monique Durkin (Demaire); his mother Clarisse Durkin (Lamarre) of Pascoag; his children, Jessica L. Durkin of Little Compton, Melanie E. Lepore (James) of Cumberland, Jeremy R. Durkin of Pascoag and Stephanie L. Durkin of Cumberland; his siblings, William Durkin of Cumberland, Jane Auclair of Cumberland, Mark Durkin of Pascoag, David Durkin of Woonsocket, Holly Cook of Connecticut and Kelley Pedro of Burrillville; his grandchildren, Bailey Durkin, Reagan Lepore, Aiden Williams, Loghan Durkin and Sidney Lepore; and his pet Oliver. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Friday, December 12th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home (757 Mendon Rd, Cumberland, RI 02864). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 at 8:30 AM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 at 9:30 AM at the Historic St. Joseph Church (1303 Mendon Rd, Cumberland, RI 02864).

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the Hope Health, 1085 North Main Street, Providence, RI 02904.
