We bid farewell to Adelaide Santos of East Providence, Rhode Island, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on June 18, 2025 at the age of 93. Adelaide touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Joao Antonio and Lomba Santos; her spouse Aristides Tavares; and her sons, Joao Da Lomba and Norberto Tavares.
She is survived by: her children, Eva Tavares, Antonio Tavares (Toto), Naide Tavares and John Monteiro. She is also survived by her 11 grandchildren, along with great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Norberto Tavares Foundation.
