Though Amelia may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Amelia touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Gomes and Mary Gomes (Botelho); and her sisters, Mary Mello and Frances Turbitt. She is survived by: her close friend Thomas Joseph of East Providence; and her sister Helen Madoian (John) of Warwick. She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nieces, and great-great-nephews.
