With sadness, we share the passing of David Allen Herbst (East Providence, Rhode Island). David passed away on August 22, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Peggy Herbst and Bob Herbst; his sister Judy; his wife Lisbeth; his friend Jim Stone; his daughter Liza (Richmond); his close friend Al Rosar; his sons, Derek (Sharon) and Martin (Andjana); his grandchildren, Zach, Arden, Finley, Christopher, Matthew, Nathan, Nicholas, Sasha and Misha; his pets, Inky and Buddy; Susan.
A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, December 30th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Rhode Island Country Club (150 Nayatt Rd, Barrington, RI 02806).
In lieu of flowers, the family invites friends to honor Dave's memory with a donation to The Jimmy Fund, one of the causes closest to his heart, or to HopeHealth Hospice & Palliative Care.
