He was predeceased by: his wife Paula Maria Lima (Brito); his parents, Pedro C. Lopes and Antonia F. Lima; and his siblings, Armando T. Lopes, Manuel Lopes, Maria S. Lopes, Joaquim Lopes and Maria A. Lopes.
He is survived by: his daughter Martina Lima Duarte (Francisco) of East Providence; his grandchildren, Wilson Duarte and Andrea Duarte; and his sister-in-law Maria (Pina). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
