He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Maria Espirito Santo Bernardo (Vieira); his parents, Jose Jacinto Bernardo and Irminia DaGloria Bernardo (Rebelo); his children, Donny Bernardo (Kristen), Michael Bernardo of Pawtucket and Lindsay Vieira (Eddy Vieira III) of East Providence; his sister Maria Narcismento-Gouveia (late Antonio) of Toronto; his friend Manny Placido (Teresa) of East Providence; his niece Fatima; and his nephew Nelson Gouveia.
