He was loved and cherished by many people including: his spouse Joan A. Stockwell (Steere); his parents, Charles Stockwell and Marion Stockwell (Sweet); his children, David L. Stockwell, Jr. (Claudette) of Woodstock, CT, Wendy A. Stockwell of Centerville, MA and Guy W. Stockwell (Toni) of Smithfield; his grandchild Troy V. Stockwell; and his siblings, Marleen Steere, Kim, Dennis, Ralph, Vaughn, Dean Stockwell, Cheryl Sullivan, Myron, Wendell, Clayton, Ronald and Wayne Stockwell.
