He was predeceased by: his parents, Michael Hanrahan and Ida Hanrahan (Biles); his son James Hanrahan; and his siblings, Louise Long, Francis Hanrahan and Edward Hanrahan.
He is survived by: his spouse Gail Hanrahan (Robertson); his children, Lisa LaRose (Kerry), William Hanrahan (Leesa) and Edward Hanrahan (Carlene); and his grandchildren, Ryan, Michael, Douglas, Erin and Nathaniel. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
He was a referee for basketball leagues, both recreational and interscholastic, and selflessly volunteered as an Officiant, donating many hours to annual basketball tournaments for the Special Olympics of Rhode Island.
