She was predeceased by: her parents, Herve Collins and Mary Collins (Creamer); and her brother Edward Collins. She is survived by: her husband Robert J. Thornton; her children, Pamela, Tina Marie Thornton of Coventry and Joshua R. Thornton of Dade City, Florida.; her grandchildren, Bianca, Ethan, Jacob, Gavin and Bentley; and her sister Cindy Martin of Warwick.

Visitation was held on Saturday, August 9th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Iannotti Funeral Home (2000 Nooseneck Hill Rd, Coventry, RI 02816). A memorial service was held on Saturday, August 9th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
