He is survived by: his son Robert Shields, Jr. (Darlene) of Chepachet, RI.; his grandchildren, Patrick, Emily, Ryan, Isabelle Shields and Benjamin Octeau; his great grandchildren, Connor and Aiden Octeau; and his sister-in-law Dulce Shields of Pawtucket.
