She was predeceased by: her husband Edward Murphy; her father Tyler Gilbert; her sister Barbara MacDonald; and her brothers-in-law, Robert MacDonald, Maurice V. Murphy (Alleta) and John D. Murphy.
She is survived by: her mother Gladys Gilbert (Jeffers); her daughters, Mary K. Hitte (Wayne), Barbara A. Dunn (late Paul), Kathleen S. Theiss and Patricia J. Schroth; her grandchildren, Allison, Derek (Merelise), Victoria (Michael), Joshua (Cassandra), Matthew, Tyler (Dominique), Kaitlyn (Michael), Mackenzie (Leena), Rachel and Nicole (Matthew); her great grandchildren, Abigail, Ella, Davian, Amaya, Harrison, Hazel, Donald, Josephine, Rory, Maeve and Mila; and her sister-in-law Florence Murphy. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 26th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the S. R. Avery Funeral Home (3 Bank St, Hope Valley, RI 02832). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 26th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 245 Waterman St #306, Providence, RI 02906.
