He was predeceased by: his parents, James S. Hammond Sr. and Mary C. Hammond (Skorski). He is survived by: his wife Madeline B. Hammond (Parente); his daughters, Alisa C. Kiefer (Ross) and Alyson J. Hammond (Starling); his grandchildren, Ethan Kiefer, Ainsley Kiefer, Nicholas Hammond and Katherine Hammond; and his sister Janice Pina.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 29th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 10:15 AM at the Iannotti Funeral Home (415 Washington St, Coventry, RI 02816). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Tuesday, September 29th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Saints John and Paul Church (341 S Main St, Coventry, RI 02816). A burial was held on Tuesday, September 29th 2026 at the Notre Dame Cemetery.
