With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Alma E. Ash of Johnston, Rhode Island, born in Providence, Rhode Island, who passed away on January 10, 2023 at the age of 99. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Emelio DeFazio and Amelia DeFazio Sr. (Cerra); her husband Raymond A. Ash; her daughter Deborah Fredrick; and her sisters, Josephine Calestino, Maggie Riccitelli, Margaret "Peggy" Riccitelli, Julia Scungio and Esther DonFrancisco.
She is survived by: her daughter Sandra E. Benevides; her grandchildren, Melissa Fredrick, Francis Fredrick and Stephanie Santaniello (Matthew); her great grandchildren, Alexander, Vincent and Sophia Santaniello; and her brother Emelio DeFazio, Jr. (Jennie).
In lieu of flowers her family requests any donations be made to St. Rocco's Church.
