He was predeceased by: his parents, John Gilmore and Gertrude Gilmore (Lury); and his siblings, Robert Gilmore, William Gilmore and Betty Desourdy.
He is survived by: his wife Jeanne Gilmore (Lefebvre); his son George Gilmore Jr. (Katie Young) of Johnston; his siblings, John Gilmore Jr. of Davenport, FL and Lori Lucas of Foster, RI; his granddaughter Piper; and his godchildren, Freda Lury of North Kingstown and Kenneth Lefebvre of Voluntown. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, May 4th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Holt Funeral Home (510 S Main St, Woonsocket, RI 02895). A funeral service was held on Monday, May 4th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, May 4th 2026 at the Pascoag Cemetery.
