He was predeceased by: his wife Lillian DiPaolo (Ricci); his parents, Vincenzo DiPaolo and Giovanina DiPaolo (Benincasa); and his siblings, Silvio DiPaolo and Tomasina Carmone.

He is survived by: his children, Deborah Santagata, Richard DiPaolo and Diane DiPaolo; his brother John DiPaolo; his grandchildren, Natarcia Pursche (Stephen), Cranston Detective Robert Santagata and Gian Souza; and his great grandchildren, Alex Santagata, Leah Pursche, Noah Pursche and Isabella Santagata.

Visitation was held on Thursday, December 4th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at 23 Golini Dr, Johnston, RI 02919. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, December 5th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Robert Bellarmine Church (1804 Atwood Ave, Johnston, RI 02919).
