With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Neil D. Abate in Johnston, Rhode Island, born in Providence, Rhode Island, who passed away on August 28, 2025 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Neil may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Neil touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his daughter Andrea Abate; and his parents, Susan Abate (O'Neil) and Fortunato Abate. He is survived by: his sons, Michael Abate (Lisa) of Charlotte and Christopher Abate (Stefanie) of North Kingstown.
