We announce the death of Patrick J. Dwyer of Johnston, Rhode Island, who passed away on October 9, 2026, at the age of 78. He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis Dwyer and Katherine Dwyer (Mulvey); and his siblings, Sean Dwyer, Thomas L. Dwyer, Marie McGlynn and Kathleen Martin.
He is survived by: his children, Lauren Dwyer Ricci (Michael) of North Providence and Elizabeth Dwyer of North Providence; his siblings-in-law, Rosemary M. Dwyer, Barbara Dwyer and Donald T. Martin; and his stepchildren, Greta Sloan, Elsa Hunziker and Peter Hunziker.
Visitation was held on Thursday, October 15th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, October 16th 2026 from 8:30 AM to 10:00 AM at the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home (331 Smith St, Providence, RI 02908). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, October 16th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the St. Augustine Church (639 Mt Pleasant Ave, Providence, RI 02908).
