It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard J. Silva of Johnston, Rhode Island, born in Providence, Rhode Island, who passed away on May 10, 2023, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Virginia F. Silva (Spardello); his parents, John Silva and Elsie Silva (Volpe); and his siblings, Sandra Famiglietti, Jackie and Kenneth Silva.
He is survived by: his children, Richard J. Silva, Jr. of Coventry and Mary T. Petit (Rolland) of Pawtucket; his grandchildren, Richard J. Silva, III, Jennifer Comstock and Hannah Pettit; his great grandchildren, Ivy and Lillyana Silva; and his close friend Gloria McDonald of Warwick.
