We announce the death of Steven P. Amaral of Johnston, Rhode Island, who passed away on August 18, 2026, at the age of 65. Steven will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Steven will be remembered for the impact he had on the lives of those around him. Friends, family, and colleagues will cherish their memories and the time shared. Those who knew Steven will remember moments of kindness, warmth, and presence. Though words cannot fully capture his life, the legacy of connections and experiences remains. Steven’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued his companionship.
He was predeceased by: his mother Barbara Amaral; and his brother John Amaral. He is survived by: his father Joseph Amaral; his granddaughter Natalea Cotugno of Smithfield; and his siblings, Cheryl Marino of Johnston, Joseph Amaral Jr. (Joanne) of Port St and Karen Amaral of East Greenwich. He is also survived by family, he leaves behind many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
