He is survived by: his wife April Marie Barber; his mother Yolanda Fernandez (Laboy); his children, Katiria Alvarez, Wilfredo Alvarez, Jr., Sarah Alvarez Barber and Cristian Alvarez Barber; and his siblings, Jose Alvarez, Richard Alvarez and Yolanda Alvarez. He is also survived by four grandchildren.
