He was predeceased by : his nephew Steven Soares. He is survived by : his wife Maria C. Soares (Leite); his brothers, Jose Goncalves Soares (Maria F. Soares) and Frank Goncalves Soares (Maria G. Soares); his nephew David Soares (Gina Soares); his niece Jenny Silva (Bob Silva); and his goddaughter Michelle F. Soares.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 16th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Keefe Funeral Home (5 Higginson Ave, Lincoln, RI 02865). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, April 17th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Wednesday, April 17th 2024 at 12:30 PM at the St. Anthony Church (1413 Mineral Spring Ave, North Providence, RI 02904).
