David Butler Obituary
It is with sadness that the passing of David Butler of Lincoln, Rhode Island is shared. David, born on March 14, 1928, passed away on August 26, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Butler and Mary Butler (Tingley); his wife Ellie (Stewart); his siblings, Benjamin, Albert Butler, Ruth Davis and Edith White; and his granddaughter Laura.
He is survived by: his daughters, Gail D. Van Court of Coon Rapids, MN, Lois A. Ryan of East Greenwich and Carol L. Thompson of Johnston. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Bellows Funeral Chapel (160 River Rd, Lincoln, RI 02865). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, a donation to Meals on Wheels of Rhode Island would be appreciated.
