Elaine DaRosa Obituary
We are sad to announce that on October 6, 2025, at the age of 101, Elaine DaRosa of Lincoln, Rhode Island passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Joaquim "Jack" DaRosa; her parents, Manuel John Duarte and Bernice L. Duarte (Stafford); and her siblings, Everett Duarte, Edwin Duarte, Leroy David Duarte and Lorraine Sherman.
She is survived by: her daughters, Bernice Simmons (Kenneth) of Charlestown, Valerie Breault (Kenneth) of Pawtucket and Claudia Monstrelis (Peter) of North Kingstown; her sisters, Vivian DeFreitas of Athens, TN and Joan Joseph of Lincoln; her grandchildren, Rebecca Simmons DeMetrick, Cassie Monstrelis Rawcliff, Jesse Simmons, Courtney Breault Guilbert, Jacob Simmons, Philip Breault, Jordan Monstrelis and Alexander Monstrelis; and her great grandchildren, Anna, Jack, Lillie, Charlie, Eva, Ashley, Eiley, Reiko, Izumi, Roman, Julia, Maya, Addison, Chase, Eleanor, Sophia and Julian.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Bellows Funeral Chapel (160 River Rd, Lincoln, RI 02865). A requiem service will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Christ Church (1643 Lonsdale Ave, Lincoln, RI 02865). A burial will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 at the Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery (301 S County Trail, Exeter, RI 02822).
In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory to the Christ Church Altar Guild, PO Box 245 Lincoln, RI 02865 would be appreciated.
