She was predeceased by: her husband Jose F. Pina; her sons, Jose H. Pina and Daniel David Pina; and her brothers, Abel Barros and Eduardo De Barros.
She is survived by: her children, Maria Fontes (Djiny), Jorge Pina, Nilsa Soares (Fernando), Magda Al-Alami, Elisa DePina and Eduardo DePina. She is also survived by her many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
