He was predeceased by: his parents, Antonio Abbate and Concetta Abbate (Barletta); and his brother David Abbate (Hector). He is survived by: his wife Kathy A. Abbate (Cosentino); his daughter Leah M. Abbate; his brothers, Anthony Abbate of New Mexico and William Abbate of Massachusetts; his niece Nicole Eastwood (Abbate); Cynthia Abbate (Renzulli).
