She was predeceased by: her mother Catherine Adamonis; and her siblings, Dorothy "Dotty" Lambert, Pauline Brennan and Charles "Charlie" Lambert. She is survived by: her husband Richard "Dick" Palagi; her children, David (Lesley) and Christine Federspiel (Palagi); her niece Lynda Thompson; and her grandchildren, Andrea Palagi, Courtney and Macy Federspiel.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to the Alzheimer's Association of Rhode Island, in hopes of finding a cure for the disease that ultimately took Kathy's life, but never her light.

“Dick, David and Christine, we are so saddened to learn of Kathy's death. As a classmate at Sacred Heart I go way back with her.. She never missed a reunion and especially loved our get togethers at our summer home in Little Compton. She'd come to my Alumni Board meetings with me so we could go to the Polish store in Chicopee and buy all sorts of goodies. She was truly a kindred spirit and an absolute doll. Those times were precious and never to be forgotten.”
