He was predeceased by: his parents, Manuel Pestana and Alice Pestana; and his sister Elizabeth Rodrigues. He is survived by: his wife Maria "Alice" Pestana; his children, Marilyn Pestana Leary of Cumberland, Michael Manuel Pestana (Lisa) of North Smithfield and Mark Joseph Pestana (Suzie) of Franklin, MA.; his grandchildren, Michaela Leary Vacca, James Leary, Sarah Isabel Pestana and Matthew Joseph Pestana; and his great grandchildren, Cameron Vacca and Nolan Vacca.
