He is survived by: his mother Ernestine Chivers; his wife Patrica Chivers (Bessette); his grandmother Imajean Greene; his children, Edith Williams, Braxton Bessette (Samantha), Brandon Bessette (Antonio), Maleek Allen, Raekwon Chivers and Shanice Peters; his grandchildren, Messiah Peters, Charis Yaidoo, Makhai Allen, Janiyah Figueroa, Jaire Allen, Jalen Hazard and A'laia Allen; his siblings, Odessa Hayes, Dorothy Chivers, Sherry Chivers and Wesley Chivers (Connie); and his nieces and nephews, Nicole, Deanna Wilkins, Thedore Wise Jr., Khiry Chivers, Kwana Little (Mike), Dejuan Hayes and Verlena Alcindor (Junior). He is also survived by great nieces and nephews, aunts, a lifelong group of friends.
