He was predeceased by : his sister Meg Galligan of Hagerstown, MD. He is survived by : his brother Carl Galligan (Louise) of Hagerstown, MD.; his wife Audrey Galligan; and his children, Martin Galligan (Cathy) of Carlisle, MA, Teddi Ann Galligan (David Diggs) of Washington, DC, Monica Galligan (James McCarron) of Monterey, CA, Donegal, Ireland, Thomas Galligan (Sarah Baily) and Charlie Galligan (Kerry Crane) of Bristol, RI. He is also survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

He was a daily visitor of his wife, took no sick days, and got to see her through every weather emergency, every day, until COVID restrictions barred his access to Audrey for over a year. Neither Audrey nor Jack understood the reasons for the separation, and great efforts were made to reunite them as COVID eased.

Deep into his Alzheimer's disease, Jack's knowledge of what chemicals could remove which stains from any material were among the last bits of knowledge to slip away.
