It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of James L. Hurst of Middletown, Rhode Island, born in Geneva, Ohio, who passed away on April 15, 2024, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Clifford L. Hurst and Mable "Peg" Hurst (Thiel); and his sister Sherry Ferrell of Tucson, Arizona.. He is survived by : his wife Ingrid E. Hurst (Faijersson); his children, Camille Guerin (J. P.) and Anders Hurst; and his grandchildren, Owen, Trevor, Luc, Alyse, Pierre, Abigail, Carter and Jack.

Visitation was held on Friday, April 19th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the O'Neill-Hayes Funeral Home (465 Spring St, Newport, RI 02840). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 20th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the United Congregational Church (524 Valley Rd, Middletown, RI 02842).
