She was predeceased by: her husband John Merlino, Jr.; her parents, Nicola Badessa and Josephine Badessa (Trioli); and her brother Joseph Badessa. She is survived by: her children, Marcia Comorosky (David) of Narragansett, David Merlino of Narragansett, John Merlino, III (Sherry) of West Greenwich and Joan McGovern (William) of Narragansett; her brother Beneditto Badessa of Coventry; her grandchildren, Mark (Lauren), Paul (Anne Lynn), Janelle (Kyle), Melissa (Patrick), Elizabeth (Rainer), Kate (Zack) and John IV; and her great grandchildren, Aiden, Belle, Willie, Olivia, Cecelia, Matthew, Drew and Camille.
