He was predeceased by: his parents, Emma Prior (Warren) and Gerald Prior; his former wife Maureen Hobson Prior; his siblings, Judith Veisel and Dr. Michael Prior; and his son-in-law James Feeney.
He is survived by: his children, Gerald Prior Jr. (Marianne) of Narragansett, Christine Feeney of Narragansett, Deborah Igoe (Michael) of Cranston, Colleen Prior (Patrick Sweeney) of Narragansett and Daniel Prior (Jennifer) of East Greenwich; his grandchildren, James Feeney (Meaghan), Kelly Feeney, Megan Igoe, Patrick Igoe, Michael Igoe, Erin Igoe, Daniel Prior Jr., Jillian Prior and Olivia Prior; his great grandchildren, Emma Feeney and James Feeney; his brothers, Rev. J. Gregory Prior of Hilton Head, S. C. and David; and his sister-in-law Elaine Prior of Warwick. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial donations in Jerry's memory be made to the American Cancer Society, PO Box 6704, Hagerstown, MD 21741.
