He was predeceased by : his parents, Emma Prior (Warren) and Gerald Prior; his former life partner Maureen Hobson Prior; his siblings, Judith Veisel and Dr. Michael Prior; and his son-in-law James Feeney.
He is survived by : his children, Gerald Prior Jr. (Marianne) of Narragansett, Christine Feeney of Narragansett, Deborah Igoe (Michael) of Cranston, Colleen Prior (Patrick Sweeney) of Narragansett and Daniel Prior (Jennifer) of East Greenwich; his grandchildren, James Feeney (Meaghan), Kelly Feeney, Megan Igoe, Patrick Igoe, Michael Igoe, Erin Igoe, Daniel Prior Jr., Jillian Prior and Olivia Prior; his great grandchildren, Emma Feeney and James Feeney; his brothers, Rev. J. Gregory Prior of Hilton Head, S. C. and David; and his sister-in-law Elaine Prior of Warwick. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
