Steffens of Narragansett, Rhode Island, born in Harrington Park, New Jersey, who passed away on August 21, 2022, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Otto Steffens and Alice Steffens (Lake); his wife Helen C. Steffens (Stoffel) of Syracuse, NY; his son James Steffens Jr. (Jim) of Taos, NM; and his siblings, Lydia A. Rehill, Otto and Kenneth Steffens.
He is survived by : his children, Thomas (Mary) of Narragansett and Robin Steffens; his granddaughters, Kirsten of Lynchburg, VA and Lynni Bennet; his great grandchild Keegan Bennet of Acme; his grandson Ryan Steffens of Puerto Rico; and his stepchildren, Victoria Shackelford (David) of Lynchburg and Donald Blankenship (Carol) of Wilmington, NC.
His trusty companion, the piano, became a great source of comfort and entertainment during the months he was under COVID isolation at Brookdale Assisted Living.
