He is survived by : his children, John F. Murphy III (Anne-Marie) of Glocester, RI, Priscilla A. Hickey (James) of Bel Air, MD, Susan J. Desilets (Richard) of Bellingham, MA and Richard S. Murphy (Lisa) of Scituate, RI; his grandchildren, Patrick, David, Adam, Thomas, Collin, Shannon, Ethan, Chad, Katherine and Jillian; his great grandchildren, Lilliana, Samuel and Colton; his sister Meg Carroll of East Greenwich, RI; and his close friend Bernadette Kerr of Clearwater, FL. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
