He was predeceased by: his parents, Laurence and Elizabeth; and his brothers, Laurence, Kenneth and Bruce.
He is survived by: his wife Nancy (Picchione); his children, Stephen, Jr. (Meghan) of Rye Brook, NY, Jeffrey (Ashleigh) of Pawcatuck, CT and Alyssa Alphin (Albert) of Canton, MA.; his sister Adele DeMartini (Loring) of Las Vegas, NV; and his grandchildren, Ann, Evelyn, Lillian, Grace, Stephen William "Will" III, Adelaide and Brooke.
