With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Rita H. Mendonsa of Newport, Rhode Island, who passed away on July 8, 2023 at the age of 98. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Henry Petry and Helen Petry (Whalen); her husband George Mendonsa; her brother Henry Petry; and her great grandchild Tyler Mendonsa.

She is survived by : her children, Ronald Mendonsa (Kathleen) and Sharon Molleur (Robert); her grandsons, Richard, Ronald and Randy; and her great grandchildren, Logan, Jordan and Avery.
