Debra M. (Avarista) Gentile Obituary
We are sad to announce that on October 22, 2025, at the age of 70, Debra M. (Avarista) Gentile of North Kingstown, Rhode Island passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Debra departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Debra may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Debra leaves behind.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Mario Avarista and Florence Avarista. She is survived by: her husband Joe; her daughters, Liza Gentile (Will Davidian) and Kayla Kennedy (Jeff); her sisters, Joyce Muir-Pastore (Edmund Pastore) and Jean Avarista; and her sister-in-law Stella Gentile. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, October 27th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Nardolillo Funeral Home - South County Chapel (1111 Boston Neck Rd, Narragansett, RI 02882). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Monday, October 27th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Christ the King Church (180 Old North Rd, Kingston, RI 02881).
