“Janet was like a sister to me. We loved the same man, the same children, and the same grandchildren. She came with Chris to my house for Christmas Eve each year, I went to theirs in the summer to see a play or have a cook-out. At Seth and Lauren's wedding, Chris walked down the aisle with Janet on one arm and me on the other. The three of us enjoyed making people scratch their heads over how the first wife and the second wife could become close friends. But with Janet, it was so easy.”
