He was predeceased by: his parents, Jose Sousa Resendes and Maria Resendes (Furtado); and his siblings-in-law, Antonio Resendes and Serafim Leandro. He is survived by: his sister Gloria Leandro; his goddaughter Maria F. Leandro of North Providence; his nieces, Hilda Leandro and Susan Casimiro (Jose) of New Bedford, MA; his nephew Michael Leandro (Rebecca) of North Providence; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Edward Soares Jr., Meaghan Soares, Emilio Casimiro, Manuel Casimiro, Anthony Casimiro, John Casimiro, Olivia Leandro, Amalia Leandro and Isabelle Diosa-Soares.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 18th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Keefe Funeral Home (5 Higginson Ave, Lincoln, RI 02865). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 19th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Anthony Church (32 Lawn Ave, Pawtucket, RI 02860).
