He was predeceased by: his parents, Rudolph S. Tavares and Barbara J. Tavares (Fontes) of Providence, RI.. He is survived by: his siblings, Paula M. Van Leesten of Warwick, RI, Lynn A. Tavares of Providence, RI, Richard A. Tavares of East Providence, RI and Rudolph J. Tavares of North Providence, RI.; his siblings' children, Alexis Brown-Perez (Aldwin Perez), Ti-Mia Tavares, DuJuan Tavares, Lawrence Tavares and Jordan Van Leesten of Portland, OR.; and his friends, Angel Capeles of North Providence, RI and Theresa Rubino of Cranston, RI. He is also survived by his great nieces and nephews, many cousins.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Keefe Funeral Home (5 Higginson Ave, Lincoln, RI 02865). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
