He was predeceased by: his parents, Valentin Rios and Narcisa Sanabria. He is survived by: his wife Ligia; his children, Juliana and Juan Carlos (Abigail); and his siblings, Gustavo, Valentin, Antonia and Antonio. He is also survived by six nieces and nephews.
