He is survived by : his wife Helen O'Donnell (Mirarchi); his brother Harold O'Donnell (Nabiha); his sister-in-law Barbara Spaziano; his nieces and nephews, Stephanie Spaziano, Norahann Miller, Patty Daliege, Nina Fassell, Terri Vasilakis, Joseph Mirarchi, Vince Mirarchi, Hal Michael O'Donnell, Michael Mirarchi and John Mirarchi; and his great-nephews, Jack Brucas and George.

Stacey Paul wrote a sympathy message

“In loving memory of George O'Donnell, Someone so special will not be forgotten. He was my favorite Uncle. I regret not contacting him. I didn’t want him feel like he would have to take sides and didn’t want anyone to think I deserved to be in the will. I’m heartbroken. I pray he didn’t suffer. I’m also grateful that Aunt Helen won’t feel the pain of losing her lifelong love. Heaven definitely has another angel.”
