He is survived by: his spouse Eduarda Freitas (Rodrigues); his children, Luis Freitas (Cristina) of North Providence and Fatima Freitas of Boca Raton, Florida.; his grandchildren, Nelson Freitas, Andrea Freitas, Jonathan Freitas, Neil Freitas, Shane Virtue and Bella Virtue; and his great grandchildren, Jacob Freitas, Madelyn Freitas, Julian Freitas, Angelina Rodrigues and Relic Freitas. He is also survived by many nephews and nieces.
