Marie Maratta Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Marie Maratta (North Providence, Rhode Island), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 21, 2025 at the age of 96. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the sacred silence of farewell, Marie is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that her light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of her loved ones. And as her memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Marie's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
She was predeceased by: her husband Peter "Lucky" Maratta; her parents, Antonio DiCicco and Margaret DiCicco (Mancini); her daughter Cynthia Maratta; and her siblings, Yolanda Cocozza and Elenora Garzone.
She is survived by: her daughter Stephanie Vieira (Thomas); her grandsons, Matthew Vieira (Linden Kirk Nash) and Mitchell Vieira (Marina Massa); and her great grandchild Bodhi Nash Vieira.
A Mass of Christian burial was held on Tuesday, November 25th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the St. Anthony Church (1413 Mineral Spring Ave, North Providence, RI 02904).
