He was predeceased by: his parents, James McDonough and Henrietta McDonough (Guzeika); his son Robert McDonough Jr.; and his brother James McDonough. He is survived by: his wife Mary (Thoresen); his children, Robin Parent, Kimberley Furney, Susan Lawton McDonough (Steve) and Sean McDonough (Wendy); his stepchildren, Kristen Cohens and Ryan Cahill (Nicole); his sister Cynthia McDonough; and his sister-in-law Donna Wood (David). He is also survived by eight grandchildren, five step-grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
