He was predeceased by : his parents, Donald Hoskin and Beverly Hoskin. He is survived by : his wife Susan Hoskin (Deuso); his children, Sheila Boudreau and Kevin Hoskin; his grandson Zachary Boudreau; his siblings, Gayle Lowell (William), Marsha Mott (Kenneth) and Todd Hoskin (Barbara); and his pet Mack. He is also survived by One niece, five nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Hope Jackson Fire Department Scituate, Special Olympics, American Legion Post #2, or the Scituate Animal Rescue League.

Vincent Calenda wrote a sympathy message

“My deepest sympathies to sue and all hoskin family members..I met Hoppy for the first time in 1988..We were investigating a fire in Providence and hoppy made a great first impression " Im hungry what time is lunch?"...As the yrs went on Hoppy, peck and colardo and Mike Reilley would be fixtures at my house, Christmas eve morning with 50 other firemen enjoying the festivities..To this day my two sons who are now 31 and 27 still remember " Im Santas Elf" .....
