It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard L. Dowding of North Smithfield, Rhode Island, born in Providence, Rhode Island, who passed away on August 25, 2023, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his wife Frances B. Dowding (Goodwin); his parents, Charles Dowding and Vera Dowding (Lake); and his sister Elaine Steere. He is survived by : his children, Nancy Dowding of North Smithfield, Debra Parent (Richard) of North Smithfield, Richard Dowding (Diane) of North Smithfield and Barbara Mowry (Wayne) of Bellingham; his grandchildren, Pamela Artruc (George Sparrow) and Jeremy Dowding (Kimberly); his great grandchildren, Brooke, Kayden Artruc, Ella and Brady Dowding; and his sister Barbara Dunphy of Port St.
