He was predeceased by: his parents, John Brownell Sr. and Eva Brownell (Pittsley); and his siblings, John Brownell Jr. and Patricia Stowell. He is survived by: his wife Joan Brownell (Westgate) of Harrisville; his children, Debra Perschilli (late Albert) of Harrisville, David Jr. Brownell (Brenda) of Moosup, CT and Rhonda Brownell of Harrisville; his sister Edith Babineau of New Bedford, MA; and his grandchildren, Stephanie Fontaine, Trisha Hebert (Jon), Audra Halapia (David), David III Brownell (Cora), Keith Perschilli (Leanna), Kyle Riendeau and Brianna Aldrich (Justin). He is also survived by fifteen great grandchildren.
